to the US Army during the Civil War.
Application was made in Loudon Co. Tn on the 29th
of Aug. 1871
Application states on Oct 25 & 26 1863, Dec
8 1863, June ? 1865, and April 1865 he provided goods.
listed among others were Corn, Wheat, Hay, Wood,
Blacksmith tools) the total amount coming to $ 8174.33 the property was
taken by or furnished to M.H. Blackfore of the Quarter Master Dept. of
the US Army who was stationed at Loudon TN.
James A offered the following witnesses:
Michell Rose who was then residing in either Louisiana
or Loudon
J. F Foster who was then residing in Loudon
Edward or Edmond Kline (Col.) who was then residing
in Loudon
J. H. Johnston who was then residing in Loudon

There is an Edward Kline who served in the US
Colored Corps as a Col. also found a marriage record of Edward Kline and
Nannie Carter in Loudon Co. Tn recorded in the White marriages.
Census records list Edward Kline as a Mulatto.
